Fall Benchmark Testing Information
Hawk Families,
Our Fall Benchmark Testing is coming up on the following Dates:
- Reading Benchmark: Monday, November 10
- Math Benchmark: Monday, November 17
These assessments are an important part of monitoring student progress. To help your child do their best, please make sure they:
- Get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast.
- Arrive at school on time.
- Bring a healthy snack, water, and a book to read after testing.
-
Do NOT bring backpacks, instruments, hats, pillows, blankets, or wear pajamas.
- Allowed: drawstring bag & lunch bag.
- Takis, Cheetos, peanut butter, candy, colored drinks, or energy drinks are NOT allowed in the testing rooms. Students will only be allowed to eat these items during their lunch period.
- All devices (phones, smartwatches, tablets) will be collected and returned after testing. The use of electronic devices during testing is prohibited by state law.
Important:
On these days, the campus will be in Shutdown Mode to ensure a quiet and secure testing environment. Visitors are not allowed on testing days. Students will be eating with their testing groups, which may not be their regular lunch. Please send them with their lunch in the morning. We cannot disrupt testing to deliver lunches.
We kindly ask that you avoid scheduling doctor’s appointments or early dismissals on these testing days. Leaving early or missing part of the test can affect your child’s performance and disrupt the testing process.
Thank you for your support in helping us provide the best testing experience for all students!
If you have any questions, please contact the Campus Testing Coordinator, Mrs. Walker at leanna.walker@lcisd.org or (832) 223-4100.
Respectfully,
Toni Scott, Principal
