Dear Wertheimer Families,
It’s hard to believe we’re already well into October! But before I begin this week's newsletter, I want to thank you for your continued support and partnership. The success we see in our students each day is possible because of the teamwork between home and school. We truly appreciate all you do to support your child and our campus.
We're excited to announce that our Read-A-Thon has officially begun! This is a great opportunity to encourage students to build strong reading habits while also supporting our school. We do need your help to make it a success. Please take a minute to activate your child's personal reader page by clicking this link below:

The process only takes a minute or two, and your support will go a long way in helping us reach our library's fundraising goals. Thank you for partnering with us and encouraging your kiddo to participate!
We are also excited to reward our students who demonstrate responsibility and make positive choices throughout the month of October with our Hawk-tober Chill celebration on Thursday, October 29, during 6th Period! Students can earn an invitation to enjoy popsicles, music, and time with friends by meeting the following expectations throughout the month:
- No tardies,
- No Sticker IDs for forgetting their official student ID, AND
- No discipline referrals (including bus referrals)
This fun event is one way we celebrate students who consistently make great choices and contribute positively to our campus community. We appreciate your support in encouraging these habits at home and helping us reinforce the importance of responsibility, punctuality, and positive behavior.
At Wertheimer, we believe that when families and schools work together, students are more successful. Thank you for partnering with us as we encourage our Hawks to LOCK IN, make great choices, and finish October strong!
Have a great week, and as always, thank you for being part of our Wertheimer family!
