A Message from Ms. Spencer...

Dear Wertheimer Families,

This past week was so much fun as our Hawks joined in Foster High School's Homecoming Spirit Week! Students and staff showed off their creativity with themes from Country vs. Country Club Day, Teacher/Student Swap Day, Favorite Holiday Day, and School Spirit Day. It was great to see so many of our Hawks participating, having fun, and showing their Gold Track pride! Thank you to our families for helping make these spirit days such a success. We love opportunities like these that help make school a fun and memorable place to be!

Also, can you believe we're already at progress report time...again? If you haven't checked Skyward lately, now is a great time to take a look at your student's grades and academic progress. Staying informed early gives ours kiddos the opportunity to celebrate their successes and make any needed adjustments before the grading period ends.

We're looking forward to another great week, and wish you a wonderful week as well!

With Hawk Pride,

Leslie Spencer
Principal

Library Lock In Newsletter

Our Wertheimer Library continues to be a hub for reading, learning, and growth! So far, students have checked out 752 books, with 27 books currently on hold, showing just how excited our Hawks are about reading. This month, students will also participate in a Digital Citizenship lesson focused on understanding their digital footprint and making positive choices online. Be sure to support our upcoming Read-A-Thon (October 5-18) as we work to enhance our library spaces and provide even more opportunities for students to develop a love of reading. Together, we're helping our Hawks "Lock In" to a brighter future!

The Hawk-tober Chill

We are excited to reward our students who demonstrate responsibility and make positive choices throughout the month of October with our Hawk-tober Chill celebration on Thursday, October 29, during 6th period.  Students can earn an invitation to enjoy popsicles, music, and time with friends by meeting the following expectations throughout the month: 1) No tardies, 2) No sticker IDs for forgetting their official student ID, AND, 3) No discipline referrals (including bus referrals).  This fun event is one way we celebrate students who consistently make great choices and contribute positively to our campus community.
